First of all, the Lima culture ruled Lima from 200 to 700 AC. They built many cities and ceremonial centers. One of these ceremonial centers is known as Huaca Pucllana. On January the 18th of 1535, Francisco Pizarro founded Lima and since then a new culture was initiated. In downtown, it is possible to observe the unique architecture and art created by this new culture.

Modernity has brought to Lima modern malls such as the Jockey Plaza and the beautiful Larcomar located in Miraflores, close to your hotel. It has also brought the biggest water fountain of the world located in a public park.
